I have a love hate relationship with this product. I have just ordered my fourth in seven or so years, and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I say love hate because I love the fact that I can get a player like this at a cheap price to use all my DVDs from various countries. No region problems, or downloading software to switch region codes, etc. On the other hand, they have a short life-span. Still, in Japan it is extremely hard to find a product that will play DVDs from other regions due to protectionism, so this is a rarity. I recommend the product if you want something to supplement your regular system so that you can play those DVDs from 'home' when you need to.
